  Re: Midnight MOCkery

A while ago I made a "Thing Under the Stairs" diorama. Despite two attempts I never quite got the monster precisely the way I wanted him, but I still like it. Unforunately, I have had no way to photograph the thing. I would have sworn I'd have at (...) (23 years ago, 21-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Midnight MOCkery Contest

Hello, here is my entry for the Midnight Mockery Contest, a skeletton's carriage and the ruin of an inn. (URL) would be happy to see this soon on Sarah's page, Kind Regards, René (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.castle)

Re: What are BURP and SNOT pieces?

(...) You'll probably want to start at Shiri's Acronym Guide: (URL) browse the Parts Reference using the pop-up menu located at the top center of this page. It'll let you find some of the parts you're speaking of (like the 2 mountain BURPs). HTH, (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

<snip> (...) <snip> Thanks for the nod Dave. To expand on this, try using pieces as hinges that weren't made to be used that way. The best example is the 1x4 offset plate((URL) The two outside studs are magnificent for hinging things. I've been (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.general)

What are BURP and SNOT pieces?

Hello, everyone. I'm kind of new to LUGNET and I have a couple of questions about BURP pieces and SNOT (Studs Not On Top) pieces. What are they? And where can I get them? If anyone has anything to say about this, I would appreciate it. Curt Tigges (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build)

Sarah, I'm in the same boat...haven't had much time to build while working on BricksWest and with the arrival of the new baby...heck, I even built an entry for the space Hoverthingy contest (sems like ages ago), but didn't find the time to (...)   Submarine

This is my project for our next LUG meeting. I needed a tester for the brickshelf thing and chose this. Not a particuarily complex or accurate model but not to shabby if I do say so myself... Take a look (URL) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.military)

  Hey Geordan....

is there something you haven't told us about? I don't remember seeing this page in the LMHoF before.... (URL) wouldn't have seen it tonight if I wasn't rattling off those 10 building tips earlier. (...) It may also have something to do with the sheer number of contests going on at the moment....Yours may have gotten lost in the shuffle. I'll try to crank something out for it soon. -Dave (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.contests)

  Re: Adding My Site's Link

(...) Well, all I know is that I requested the curatorship of .build.mecha a few months back and I'm still awaiting a response. There's nothing quite as frustrating as waiting for a call that never comes. Kinda feels like high school all over again. (...)   10 tips to better Mecha building....WAS:HELP...beginner need tips and info on how to build mecha?!?!

(...) Now tell the truth, Mladen...how many Lego Racers parts have been created virtually? None that I've noticed. Right there, that wipes out the possiblity of me CADing my models.   Midnight MOCkery

Perhaps it is my fault for not knowing the correct way to promote a contest, but I have to say I was expecting more entries... If I get ten more entries I will add in an OVER ALL winner and the prize for that will be Hagrid's Hut, that is in (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.build.contests) !!

  My first tiny house

Hello, Joel has always razzed me about the size of my houses. So I tried a "selectively compressed" house... what ever that really means I have no idea. But here it is. It's a creepy little widows house. I made it for Halloween. All the bats on the (...) (23 years ago, 20-Oct-01, to lugnet.build.arch)

Re: ISCC: Let your ideas take flight...

(...) See the official rules for the official answer. If they're not clear it's partly my fault since I helped translate them. Unofficially: There are a number of categories.
