New MOC's: MAN Tipper & Volvo wheel loader

Last couple of months I have been working on two models. The first model is a five-axle tipper. Modelled after a MAN 48.422. The second model is a wheel loader. The first time I had a usefull purpose for the power puller wheels. It's a Volvo L90D. (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.modelteam, lugnet.technic) !

  Classic racing car

Last night (this morning) I finally got around to make building instructions for a classic racing car I built back in 1995: (URL) you look at the LDraw file, you will see the colours actually used in the model.   Tantive IV MOC, My very own!

Here's my own! to fill my craving for LEGO's version. The greeblies are not exact, made them up as I went, this was done almost completely from my head, no references except a few glances at the Lego version. I think it may be a bit stubby, oh well.   Re: New Mecha: Orion

Wow! Excellent job Joel. This is one of the very, very few times I've seen the grey-white-dark-grey colour scheme ACTUALLY work... SHOCK!!! ;-) However, I do agree with Mark's comments; the legs are spread too far apart. The weapons and fuel tanks (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: New Mecha: Orion

Sweet Sweet Sweet Sweet! That is awesome! I LOVE the well balanced colour scheme, I love the white protrusions coming from the rear, very nice.   Re: New Mecha: Orion

(...) I like the feel of the mecha, but his stance seems way too spread-eagled. You'd have a hard time supporting his weight with the legs way out to the sides like that. I'm not fond of the two 1x1s for eyes. Seems a bit buggy. Overall, nice (...) (23 years ago, 27-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

I've posted a few shots of some nun minifigs I did the other day: (URL) the paint isn't real, just Photoshopped in. I don't know if anyone's done these before, but if you've seen any, please send a link so I can check them out. Later, G (23 years ago, 26-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.minifigs)

Re: What do YOU do with face-less heads?

(...) Are you sure they are rubbed off, or might they just be from the pre-minifig era? Some of the town sets that came out just before the minifig revolution used the same extra-wide 1x1 round bricks that minifigs use for heads, but without any (...) Dude. Your buildings rule. Bottom line, no exceptions! They have inspired me to build my own little bricktopia. All I have to do is get the money to get the parts I need AND get the new USC Rebel Blockade Runner! :) (23 years ago, 25-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.arch)
