Re: The Secret Masters of the Illuminati

(...) These are great. It's especially 'illuminated' for me since just last Sunday I was invited to play the first game of Deluxe Illuminati my friends have played in almost three years. Sean (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)

Re: Pics of my new castle

If you could be more specific :) The set of vehicles representing a mobile still and assorted rum-running types which Roy has photographed individually are from Aaron Sneary (who can speak for himself, of course). I am responsible for the cars in (...) (23 years ago, 20-Sep-01, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.build)

Re: My First Building ( Condo )

Derek wrote in message ... (...) ruogfly.... LOL great typo! Sorry I really can't give a price - it varies too much depending on the size and type of building, and anyway I'm not buying bricks especially for a building usually, they come out of what (...)   Re: something new

(...) Yes, without colour or paraphernalia hanging off this one, I strove to get a good balance of shapes and sizes instead. Once the head and torso were complete, the rest fell into place a lot easier. <tease>And, hmm, yes... I'm going in a (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: something new

(...) Hey, thanks ! (...) Thanks again. The "fins" (long protrusions) are intended to be sensor pods, since this is a land-based mech. It was an interesting challenge to get them to come out at non-right angles at that scale... (...) yes, I do, and (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Thanks Dave, it's especially gratifying to hear when someone likes something despite themselves! :) Your comments are much appreciated. stuart (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: something new

Stuart, Wow! Very nice mecha. This one really reads as solid planes and form. The shoulders are particularly well done. I really like that the overall shape isn't lost in greeblies (sp). I look forward to the "weirder" one. Later, Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Web site move and new MOC sculpture: Rodin's Thinker

A heads-up for anyone who has bookmarked my web site (Dilbert sculptures, mathematical Lego sculptures and a few Technic odds and ends): I've just moved from the US to the UK and consequently changed ISP. My email address is also changing, though (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.build.sculpture) !

  Re: something new

Awesome Stuart! The mega proportioned body and ankles make it look very tough, and very animeish. I love the air fin things coming out of the torso! Those rule! and the little gun coming out of it's middle, aw sweet, this is a very cool mecha, you (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another tan building...

This is great. I like all of the asymmetric details; it really brings the building to life. Beautiful detail work. It hardly looks like 'leftovers' to me! Cary (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: something new

(...) Is that like an M.O. ? The source material is from (as I posted on the site) a Japaneses comic called City in Labyrinth by Makoto Kobayashi, who has worked on Z GUNDAM and ZZ GUNDAM, GIANT ROBO, YAMATO 2520 and SUPER ATRAGON, desinged mech (...)   Re: something new

Mladen, Thanks! Yes, I find that the exaggeration makes up a lot of the personality, expecially at small sizes. I don't have as much lego as a lot of the builders here (and I'm constantly "borrowing" form my son), so I can't do a lot of detail-style (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: Another tan building...

(...) Ben, That's a very nice chateau, the landscaping and the windows are great touches. Thanks, George (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Another tan building...

(...) The roof is completely built by black bricks, only in some pictures it looks somewhat brown.... Only a paart of the stable is in brown palisades from "Fort Legoredo" Leg Godt! Ben (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Re: Another tan building...

Well done, Ben, I really like it with all the lovely details! But where do you got all these brown corner slopes? happy building adrian (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

  Another tan building...

Hi Folks, to join my train layout and especially to add another building to my tan chateau, I have used the rest of tan bricks to make up a small farm-like building. It is a house with My-Own-Train-parts roof and a stable for two horses. Tke a look (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains) !

Re: New MOC: 8 wide Lotus Esprit S4

(...) Do you mean the car is too small? I've stood next to an Espirit once, and it reached me up to the hip, approximately. I think that if you put a minifig next to Bram's car, it will be just barely taller than the roof. It is very difficult to (...) (23 years ago, 19-Sep-01, to lugnet.build)
