(...) I have tons of black Tyco 1 x 3 slopes - probably as many as actual LEGO ones. It's a pity that the Tyco slopes have the extra ridge halfway down the slope which makes the look good only for roofing. (Even though most people here think that (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) This isn't the piece I was referring to... the one you just described is the one Gary said Rob F calls a "gable connector"... which is another misnomer, I think, since it connects rof peaks, not gables (which are at the outer end of a piece of (...) (25 years ago, 5-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) I think it's called "gabled" because it is an otherwise normal 1x2 roof piece with a gabled overhang on one side, ie a vertical triangle like a gabled roof. So that name refers to the appearance of the piece not it's actual function which is (...) (25 years ago, 4-Jun-99, to lugnet.build)
