  Re: Women's Team -- set 3416

(...) As you can see from the XFUT -> .market.shopping, you know what I'm going to ask you for next, Jeff. Just how much *is* it jacked up? And at which KB did you find it? Piqued, Lindsay (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.build.minifigs, lugnet.market.shopping)

  Re: Women's Team -- set 3416

(...) I found it at KB Toys on Thursday, although they jacked the price a bit. :\ Oh, and it is six figs, not five. :) Also, I sent the inventory to Peeron: (URL) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Re: Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

(...) I can come at this with a slightly more, uh, "unique" case: I build ships, with walls generally 8-14 bricks high and straight runs of 100-300 studs. I can't even dream of using 1xn unless I plan my subdivisions specifically to buttress (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

I say that it also depends a lot on the building, in some cases 2x is the solition, other times 1x. Larger / taller buildings might been better in 2x to carry more and makes them more stable. David Lewis <dlewis@seanet.com> wrote in message (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: Women's Team -- set 3416

(...) Forgive my ignorance, but is this set a Shop@Home exclusive type set or will it be available in the Wal*Mart/Target/Toys R Us type retail stores? Any clue as to a date it'll be available if it's being sent to the retail stores? ~Nathan (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.sports, lugnet.year.2001, lugnet.build.minifigs)

  Wall construction - 1xN or 2xN?

I'm curious what other builders use to build their walls, 1xN's or 2xN's? When I was a kid, I used 2x's for my walls. After my dark ages, I used 1x's, primarily because of cost. You get more linear studs of wall per dollar. All of the windows and (...) (23 years ago, 13-May-01, to lugnet.build)
