RE: New 8-wide passenger train online!

HoMa & Ben That's right. Another AFOL from the german forum asked his metall-working colleagues if it would be possible to make some aluminium rims for the old spoked wheels - and it WAS possible. The engine runs brilliant on the tracks. Any (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.trains)

Re: New 8-wide passenger train online!

(...) Ah, I wondered if that was the handiwork of Ben's friend.... I'm glad to hear that they work! I like this kind of innovation, because I fear that such train specific elements (large drivers, etc) may not be on TLC's short list of parts to (...) (...) "Riviera-Express" (...) I am most intrigued by the creative details of the baggage and restaurant wagons! The "tricks" used for the kitchen window/doors upside down are clever. Roof-top details and interior items are such nice accents. Love (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: New 8-wide passenger train online!

You *have* been busy, HoMa! An excellent creation, and wonderfully detailed as well! Very nice:-) I have a question about the drivers-- they appear to be LEGO, although the outer rims appear metal.... Also, no need to follow-up to .build; just (...)   Re: New 8-wide passenger train online!

(...) Wow! That BR10 looks like something that Marklin would make! Looks so smooth that I thought it wasn't LEGO® (for a moment), excellent work. It's about time we have some European trains.-Harvey (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Oh that's just some armor plate and a motorized lego machine gun from my dismantled RCX combat robot, wreckage in the lego scrapyard, nothing to be concerned about, unless I reassemble it. Then run and hide until it empties its ten shot (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Actually all of my gundams represent advancing levels of technology rather than the mass production of the same design. I typically don't take models apart until the designs become sufficiently obsolete and unlikely to survive in battle (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) Since I had to destroy my old black gundam to make the new one, I took some pictures of the obsolete joint technology: (URL) S2, S3... up to S14 to see all the pictures. (...) They are about 28 inches tall. The hip joints dampen the (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: What have I been up to? Zero Four

(...) The picture of all three is awesome. (...) Put a big fat me too here Christopher. I'd love to steal (I mean use with full credit ;-) some of K's joint ideas). I have a feeling that we'd both be blown away by Brian's joint systems. I've stared (...) (23 years ago, 7-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
