Re: Neo-Oz Update: First glimpses of the new Gundam. It' HUGE!

(...) Thank you for your comments. (...) You are absolutely right, the neck joint is a simple 4x4 studs turntable which in theory was supposed to be wide enough. That is the problem with this Gundam, most of it was pre-fabricated in my head, its (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Re: Yet Another Technic Creation

(...) I was only thinking on Monday what a great idea a really realistic 8 wheeler lorry would be and there you are today putting up info about your superb MOC. I haven't gone through all the stuff in detail (I am at work after all) but I am, as (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.technic, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.build)

Re: Neo-Oz Update: First glimpses of the new Gundam. It' HUGE!

That Gundam looks very large. Any chance we could get some better pics? Maybe some details shots of the joints? Anyway keep it up. I'd like to see it finished. Bryce (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

  Yet Another Technic Creation

Hello again folks, I have finally completed the web page for my latest Technic creation, a radio controlled Technic figure scale 8x4 truck with a hook lift system which allows the tipping and loading/unloading of skips (dumpsters). As well as the (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.technic, lugnet.robotics, lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.uk, lugnet.modelteam) !!

Re: Neo-Oz Update: First glimpses of the new Gundam. It' HUGE!

(...) I like the cockpit pod. The use of the compass is pretty neat. :^) Judging from the silhouette in the picture, I'd say your Gundam needs a bit more armor around the neck joint, but maybe you just haven't gotten to it yet. The shoulder armor (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha, lugnet.space)

Re: MOCs: incl German WWII Railway gun

(...) Thanks :) (...) The pneumatic pressure is the actuator that lifts the gun. The motor only serves to run one air cylinder as an air compressor. That pressurized air is then fed into one of the large pneumatic air pistons, which is pinioned to (...) (23 years ago, 2-May-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

Re: MOCs: incl German WWII Railway gun

Congratulations Shaun to another fantastic mastermodel. Fascinating that the gun is motorised also. Do you use the pneumatic pressure as a counterweight for the gun barrel. I wish you could take same pictures of the interior design. I have also a (...) (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

  Re: Monthly MOC: Yellow Racer

Always a treat to see new MOC's coming from you. I really like what you're doing. Mind you, I'm not into minifigs at all myself, but you're designs are brilliant.   Re: mecha joints simplified

(...) Actually, Bryce Mcglone's wonderful serpent mech utilizes those in its legs; he also used them extensively in his gorilla looking mech. -Christopher (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  Re: mecha joints simplified

(...) Well, I don't have any of those pieces, but it looks like it might would work for locking joints. Then again you could probably accomplish the same thing with regular gears... (23 years ago, 1-May-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

  mecha joints simplified

I've been looking at klapaucius' (sp?) gundam models (obscenely impressive, I must say.) and a thought struck me. has anybody tried using technic 32166 pieces (the throwbot gearbox pieces) to build joints for large scale mecha? it seems to me that (...) Oragami Mecha! I love it! Bryce, warning, I'm going to use the heck out of the name! Yeah, after seeing Jeremy's designs, I couldn't help myself and did one too. I finally have a shot of it.   Re: My first mini-mecha (or any mecha for that matter)

Cool little mechas! After seeing Jeremy Sproat's this weekend I've decided to call them Oragami Mechas. These things are just so small and intricate! I like the green one. I reminds me of an insect or maybe Watto. I can see a swarm of these (...) (23 years ago, 30-Apr-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)
