LOL Don't feel like you have to apologize;-) You have created an awesome MOC, Shaun, and you have realized (regardless of any blathering pro or con) for yourself the merits of building 8 wide (or wider;) Glad to (...)   Re: Big scale model of AMC AMX '68

You have my vote. That is a 10. Very pleasing to the eye. The engine and drive line detail are just sensational. If this is your first, you will have a real challenge trying to better this project. Thanks for sharing the pictures. -- Bob Fay (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: MOC: BR52 Steam Locomotive

(...) Thanks, Jason. I picked the German steam train to fit in with the motif of my other models, primarily, as I tend to lean towards utilitarian workhorse designs. Political ramifications aside, the German industrial boom of the 1930s produced (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build)

(...) gives them sort of an alien presence. They are also somewhat surreal in their ornateness and air of fragility.   Mecha Nostalgia

(URL) built about a dozen 20 inch tall fully transformable lego versions of this thing years ago (it has a blockyness that is favorable to lego). Never could get the face right though.   Town Building Contest - Special Category results

Here's a partial listing of the special category results for the contest. It turned out to be a very time consuming job doing the judging, so not every special category has a result. If I get more in later, I will post them. The contest home page is (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

(...) Clean and uncluttered layout. Good presentation. I like this website. My only complaint is that it's somewhat difficult and time consumming to find the pictures. Thumbnail pics would be nice. I do like that you can select the next model (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

I've got to agree, the Raven is great. The legs are particularly good. I enjoyed all of your models, I did look at them all but I didn't read any info on them:) Nice overall site, I don't think thumbnails are necessary but they'd by a nice touch. (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: The Ubiquitous Half Stud Width Offset (and how to use it)

While one cannot pick "the one and only piece I want (in infinite quantity) on a desert island", it is possible to pick the single piece that would *most* cripple advanced construction possibilities if it were missing. This piece, the "switcher" as (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

If you did apply stickers, it would make for a great theatre Marquee (BIJOU, FOX, STATE, PANTAGES, LOEWS, etc). You could do a vertical sign above the center of the brick, and have a nice Art Deco Theatre sign. Gary Istok (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
