  Mecha Nostalgia

(URL) built about a dozen 20 inch tall fully transformable lego versions of this thing years ago (it has a blockyness that is favorable to lego). Never could get the face right though. Super robots shouldn't have lips... I mean what do they do with (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Town Building Contest - Special Category results

Here's a partial listing of the special category results for the contest. It turned out to be a very time consuming job doing the judging, so not every special category has a result. If I get more in later, I will post them. The contest home page is (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.town, lugnet.build.contests, lugnet.trains, lugnet.general)

  Re: BLAST debut

Very nice. I love the mecha! I like just aobut everything else too! I can't remember it all, there was too much! (Thats a good thing :-P) Nice work. The layout is nice too. Can't wait for more (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Clean and uncluttered layout. Good presentation. I like this website. My only complaint is that it's somewhat difficult and time consumming to find the pictures. Thumbnail pics would be nice. I do like that you can select the next model (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) Wow, that's some great stuff. Your "Star Raider" is beautiful; it looks like a modernized Galaxy Explorer. The layout is really nice too. I really really want to see more... Keep up the good work. Greg "The famous person wears the same size (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

I've got to agree, the Raven is great. The legs are particularly good. I enjoyed all of your models, I did look at them all but I didn't read any info on them:) Nice overall site, I don't think thumbnails are necessary but they'd by a nice touch. (...) (24 years ago, 27-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

New pics of the J-69 Troop Support Mecha

I've added some pictures I just took at school. The pics show the alternative turret design as well as a small company of Antiv troops. In the backgroud is a JEOL JSM-840A Scanning Electron Microscope (Just one of the neat toys I get to play with (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Ubiquitous Half Stud Width Offset (and how to use it)

While one cannot pick "the one and only piece I want (in infinite quantity) on a desert island", it is possible to pick the single piece that would *most* cripple advanced construction possibilities if it were missing. This piece, the "switcher" as (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.space, lugnet.build)

  Re: BLAST debut

(...) That's an excellent site--nice graphics, good logical layout, not too "busy". I will agree with Paul on the matter of thumbnails, but otherwise I think it should stay as is. It's very responsive and well-thought out, an excellent debut! My (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

Re: Part 6214: how can I use this thing?

If you did apply stickers, it would make for a great theatre Marquee (BIJOU, FOX, STATE, PANTAGES, LOEWS, etc). You could do a vertical sign above the center of the brick, and have a nice Art Deco Theatre sign. Gary Istok (...) (24 years ago, 26-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.general)
