After taking a hard look at the scale of my MF Falcon model and that web page that steve posted, I decided to take another shot at modeling the Falcon. I am very pleased with this version (posted to lugnet.cad.dat). It is truer to both the original (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build, lugnet.starwars)

(...) I build with 4 walls (sometimes more - octagonal, etc.) Either the walls are hinged (1x4 - 2x2 hinges) or technic pegged so that the entire structure is modular (see my castle, downtown and cathedral) (...) I put in floors. One of the neat (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

(...) depends on what i am building... (...) if it is a one story or sometimes two story, it will get a full back and a flat or "stepped" roof. if i am building a multi story building, the back will be open. also, the first floor will almost always (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)

Another idea, which I was implementing on my large station project when i packed it away <sniff> is to use technic pin/bricks to hold building sections together. While this wiggles when the surface abutting is small (c.f. Deep Freeze Defender and (...) (26 years ago, 6-Apr-99, to lugnet.build)
