Re: My first Sculptures, Super Giant Hello Kitty

(...) How about making that cute green frog with big eyes and red tounge... I don't know his name. (...) Yes it is lovely. Great job! I wonder if I give something like that to a girl, would that impress her or scare her away? :) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Re: The Royal Train Website

Stephen, Thanks again for the compliments. I don't look at Lego models as an end unto themselves, but rather as props for building scenes. Many of the buildings are false fronts or partial builds. Here's a photograph of the Downtown Winterthur scene (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.build, lugnet.publish.photography)

  Re: Fearing Lego

(...) a rubber band. I used it to fire another rail, upside down. Never measured how far it went, but it could shoot all the way down the hallway. I wasn't scared of it, but my two big sisters certainly were!! (Maybe that's why dad made me dismantle (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

  Re: Fearing Lego

can't say i've ever built something that i feared because it could hurt me... I've been afraid of my creations simply because I have NO idea where the inspirations for them came from. that is quite cool... planning on building the rest of the bot? (...)   Re: Large Buildings?

(...) Why so many 1x2's? I use tons of 1x4's to build walls. I pay about a penny a stud plus a penny for most 1x bricks from the set busters. Amy (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

  Fearing Lego

This may sound a little bit weird, but has anyone ever built anything that they were actually afraid of? I think I have done just that: (URL) Spinning Wheel of Death. BattleBots affectionados might recognize this as an Lego replica of Jim (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build, lugnet.technic)

Re: My first Sculptures, Super Giant Hello Kitty

(...) Thank you for your kind comment. (...) I bought 11 blue tubs but the Sculptures didn't require 13200 bricks. Most of the white bricks were used ,but green and red are still in the tubs:)... About 7000 bricks were used to build this lovely (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) I didn't paint anything. I think my digital camera isn't good at flashing. That's the reason why the light making them look like they're a different red color. thank you Masayuki Ogura (URL) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)

(...) set (...) I'm not too sure that it would cost that much. I _think_ I paid about $40 for 2000 1x2 bricks, so judge accordingly (yes, you would need LOTS of 1x2 bricks to build a building that size...I used ~6000 for my train station, which was (...) (24 years ago, 16-Mar-01, to lugnet.build)
