   Hey!  You forgot to stick this in .military too, we *love*
   to see these kinds of cool projects.  :D

   For SSN-688s you might want to start with:

   ...but as these vessels are still in service, the Navy is
   understandably (if not entirely clearly) leery about having
   detailed plans published on WWW. I've seen 1/48 and 1/72
   models of these ships, but never on the Web--and Lord knows,
   I know enough people who could find their way around a 688
   in their sleep.  ;D

   But in short, I'm not sure where to send you for deckplans
   or machinery details.  The above site will give you general
   layout data (and that all important conning tower ID data)
   but it's not exhaustive by any means.
