Hey folks,
Looks like I have a lot of people interested in what I'm building for the
National Building Museum display that's coming up here on the 21st of June here
in D.C.
It's a church inspired by Eero Saarinen. I myself attended a church much like
this (I think it was octigonal, but it might have been hexigonal). Anyway,
having been in a church like this on many occassions, I decided that it would be
my focus for a build.
I started it last Sat (14 June), and should have it completed by Thurs night.
Finishing touchs by Sat morning when I show up with it.
I decided that to actually acheive the octagonal shape I would have to abandon
the studs on top mode of building. The super structure is stud not on top (to
the side) so that I could utilize a hinge ring to tie it all together (it's
8-1x4 click hinge pieces). the roof over the center is opaque right now, but I'm
thinking about using the clear 8x8 radar dish from the Gen Greivious Chase set
(or from the new micro tank droid set).
Anyway, here it is so far. I'll post more tonight and update as I go.
I hope you all enjoy.

Have Fun!
