Here is my latest modular-vignette MOC:
Surfin’ USA
(Accessible when
moderated)
These are 12 vignettes which come together to form a swingin’ beach scene...
Now, here’s the twist: This is a ‘noprize’* contest called “Name That
Vig”!!
Each vignette is named after a song of the ‘Surf Rock’ genre. Be the first to
guess the correct name of the song that each vignette represents, and you will
receive the coveted noprize! The first person who replies to this post with the
12 correct song titles wins! (Extra props if you also get the correct
singer/group who recorded the song, or find references to them in these vigs. I
also have included several of my well-known figs in this MOC.)
(Hint: Examine the images for the actions/characters therein. They represent
the title of the song, a line from the song, or some other reference/scene where
the song was played. Some may be difficult, but most should be relatively easy.)

| Well, after a hint from Nelson and some googling, #6 is Surfer Joe by the Surfaris. I have to admit that I don't know this song at all. Neil Young also has a song named Surfer Joe and Moe the Sleaze, but that would be from the wrong genre. Bruce (19 years ago, 7-Sep-05, to lugnet.build.vignette, FTX)
