And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship —Samarth Moray
I’ve always been a fan of space, but I never really managed to get down to doing anything in the theme as of late as it was too abstract for me (Although I did a lot of stuff as a kid, my memory and definition of what spaceyness was got wiped out (...)      Really stupid replying to my own post, but BS seems to be giving an error for the gallery URL. Here it is: (URL) trying to get the hang of this FTX thing......) (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

As for the dirty brick, I like it. It gives the ship character. Mat (20 years ago, 8-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Oh hey! right on! You built it! That is so cool, the color, the specs, the realistic look. I like the scale and the forward cab is really good. Thanks for sharring..... Questions Will you keep this model? What else might you build that will add to (...) (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

(...) Thanks for the kind words, Eric! :-) (...) Not sure yet. If one of my higher-priority projects needs parts from it, maybe not, although I think I've not used a single part I'm likely to need anytime soon. I think it'll be around for a few (...)      (...) -snip- (...) Ok, I'll let you slide this time, lol. I would encourage you to expand on this concept, I think it is very cool. e (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains)

(...) snip (...) snip (...) hey, i love the model and the use of the technic pneumatic system but i really don't see how this model belongs in .trains past the initial post. please trim .trains from the newsgroups. thanks, ondrew (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

(...) There's a reason: Its a theme bastardization. Its a Track Maintainance of Way unit. See what it is inspired by as well. Legoswami (20 years ago, 9-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship —Chris Caron
Hey Samarth! This is one nice model! I especially like the multitude of details, also the mechanized tools. I was thinking, maybe you can "un-bastardize" it and convert it to a good old train. ;o) (...) You bet ;o) But for a space MOC it actually (...)          Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship —Samarth Moray
(...) Thanks for the kind words, Chris! I don't think un-bastardizing would be a good idea since the novelty of the model IS the fact that it is a combo of train and space. But I may do a stand-alone MOW later! Thanks again! Legoswami (20 years ago, 10-Mar-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: And now, for another theme bastardization : : Track MOW Ship —Adrian Drake
(...) Glad to have inspired another .space MOC in whatever way I can :) This is rather a neat looking contraption. Though I question the necessity of a track cleaner/fixer in world where hover-vehicles are apparently possible. But bringing logic to (...)      (...) Hi Adrian, thanks for the kind words. I imagine this craft to be maybe 100-200 years in the future, when Mag-Levs have replaced all but a few trains, and the railnuts and historians are desprately trying to save the last, dying breed of (...)    Quite sweet, this. Personally, I would say this belongs in both space and trains, as it has a bit of both. Great detail, great moc. I'm jealous of your amount of replies, my posts never get any. :) Congrats on the first "spaceish" model. -Josh (20 years ago, 11-Apr-05, to lugnet.space, lugnet.trains, FTX)
