Hi, everyone!
In early November 2004, a woman commissioned me to create a mosaic of her
children as a gift for her husband.
Read all about it on MOCpages.
The mosaic is about 3.5 feet wide and 2 feet tall, and uses about 7000 or 8000
pieces. In addition to the basics -- red, blue, yellow, white, and black -- I
used dark grey, light grey, tan, green, and orange. That helped achieve more
detail, because it meant thered be was less diffusion ... which was important
because the mosaic is be pretty small given the amount of detail required.
I hope you like it! The client was very happy with the results, and this piece
now sits over their mantle in their home. (She said that all the kids that see
it immediately know its LEGO, yet the parents dont.) :)
