Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Soren Roberts
(...) Did I! That's a beautiful piece of work. The FSS fanboy in me digs the slender little waist, but the head, as always, is the main dish. One of your best, very human. Does it have facial expressions? :). I don't think there's anything to (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) Hey cool, thanks! Yep, the FSS fan in me calls too. Facial expressions? I might do that one day. When I'm even a bigger nut then I am now! (...) Construction thoughts then? Any thing you like, go for it. (...) That is awesome. I love that. e (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Soren Roberts
(...) Okay then... The combination of smooth forehead and fiberoptic "hair" at the base of the skull made me wonder for a minute if it was a self-portrait :). That's all I can think of, really. Soren (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Chris Maddison
(...) Mah boy! Very nice one this time, E. I really enjoyed watching the progression as it went together. As for the moc itself, the head isn't one of my favorites of yours. Funny, since Soren's digging it. Guess it's just personal flavor or (...) (20 years ago, 27-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) R.I.P Rumble Bunny. C-Mad, thank you!ya the head is weird, but solid and very strong, it has working fiber optics in the back of the head, so the fibers are like hair strands. (its got bed head) lol! (...) Thanks bro, I worked hard on the (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Iain Hendry
(...) Technic (...) Damn, that is cool! Eric, what do you mean by "fully wormed"? Does that mean each axis is driven by a worm gear to facilitate positioning, but to stay where its put? Iain (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) Hello sir, and why thank you. Yes, "fully wormed" means all of the major joints use worm gears to create and maintain movement and positioning. Very Glad you like it. thanks for the feedback!!!! e (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Nathanael Kuipers
Although you've already made many technic mecha's,you still keep surprising me with new improved things. Another fine addition to your mecha designs! But I don't wanna know what is behind the flaps in the middle of Skrylitch his hips... :P Cheers! (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) Thank you Nate. I appreciate that. FYI- the word "Mecha" is both singular and plural. (...) heh, I was trying to fit one of the masks from the Hockey Players behind there. Instead all you can see is the gears that articulate the hips. (...) (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Kyle Vrieze
(...) Kudos, Eric. Skrylitch is beautiful! This thing really combines so many different techniques--technic construction, SNOT, lighting, and of course the pink magic wand tongue--it really shows how well you know the brick and its dimensions and (...)          Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Eric Sophie
(...) Thank you, making use of all that is possible is where my head is at. (...) When working/building, I always follow the: one technic beam and two plate level pattern. This technique helps because a known connection pattern develops. Other than (...) (20 years ago, 30-May-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)

Re: The Skrylitch - Technic Mecha —Dave Johann
Well, Eric, you received a nice long letter from me about this one, so you know I favor it greatly, but I wanted to post a couple of things publicly about it. I really like the curviness of Skrylitch. It's less blockly than most brick-built (...) (20 years ago, 5-Jun-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)
