I took a break from studying midterms to build a small ship, somewhat inspired
by an idea I posted in August.
This was a chance to use some dark red and other parts aquired in BrickFest
purchases. I really like the clean studless look (which Phil Painter does
really well). Its funny how the last two ships Ive built (the
Spiffcraft and this one) are circular, but the building
technique is completely different. Just about all of the SNOT in this one is
thanks to more than 20 1x1 Technic beams with half-pins.
Some tricky parts with this MOC included fitting the flaps and landing gear
(inspired by Jons T-Wing) into a space no more than one brick thick. I think
it turned out pretty well.
Please LMKWYT! Comments, questions, criticisms, etc encouraged.

| (...) Bram, wow. This is one sweet little craft. Love the contrast of the sleek round flat disc with the fin and cockpit/engine. Some pro-crazy snotwork you've got going there. And the use of dark red where and how you did really adds to it; makes (...) (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| Hi Bram, I am not a huge space fan but your creation rocks! I love the circle form and your snot construction. The white and dark red color scheme works well. The detailed hull is nice as well. Ben E. (21 years ago, 17-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) Wow, a unique take on a winged craft! This is a great looking ship, with one truly distinct shape. The landing gear is a nice touch, too, but the coolest thing is the open area around the cockpit. That's just cool! Pulling my jaw off the (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) WOW - this is amazing! The unique shape, great colors and cool details (awesome landing gear!) makes this ship ROCK! I love all the SNOT work and the engine looks good too. There seem to be a lack on controls in the cockpit, though. Awesome. (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) Swweet! That's really cool, Bram. The whole ship has a really cool shape, and the color scheme, dark red and white, works well. And the flaps and the landing gear is really cool, especially for such a thin craft. Only critisism is that the (...) (21 years ago, 18-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

| (...) Now that I've seen it in person, I'm really impressed with the SNOT techniques on this, as well as how round the whole shape was made with all those slopes. A very nice job! Adrian (URL) (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

I tried to build a similar craft a while ago, but couldn't coax a convincing oval out of 45 and 33 degree slopes...using the long convex curves works wonderfully. | Bram, This is a beautiful MOC. One of the most unique designs I've seen. I especially like the way you worked in the details like the landing gear, the flaps, and the stripes in such a compact space. Bruce (21 years ago, 20-Oct-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)
