The rec.toys.lego 1998 LEGO Ancient Building Contest has been a success
beyond anything that I could have imagined at the start of the contest!
The quality of the entries was outstanding! There were eight entries
that exhibited enough creativity, capability to be part of a LEGO
Ancient Theme and strength of design that I would have been happy to
have picked any one of them as the winner. These eight were chosen as
finalists. I have put together a website showcasing the finalists and
honorable mentions at:

I would like to thank the builders for their excellent and extremely
impressive entries. Thanks also to Todd Lehman and Suzanne Rich and
their Auczilla auctions for their generous co-sponsorship of the contest
prizes. The other seven finalists and the top four honorable mentions
will also recieve prizes.
Note that the contest judgement is final and is Erik Wilson's alone and
is not the responsibility of Todd Lehman or Suzanne Rich. Also note
that the contest images are still the property of the contestants, entry
into the contest has only granted me the right to display properly
attributed images of the contest models on the LEGO Ancient Building
Contest website.
