The LDraw Standards Committee (LSC) has ratified the document
LDraw.org File Format Restrictions for
Official Parts. This document lists restrictions that aren’t part of the LDraw
1.0 spec that are placed on files in the official parts library. To a certain
extent, it is a work in progress, in that we know that there are restrictions
that aren’t listed. However, we felt that it was better to have a document
listing many of the known restrictions, with more to follow later, than to
continue on with no document until all of them are put in.
The main specifications page on ldraw.org now contains a link to this document.
