NWBrickCon 2007 is looking for talks, roundtables, and special activities
at the Con this year.

Several of our traditional activities, such as the Dirty Brickster, are
already planned but we can still find space on the schedule for lots
more.

In the past presenters have given talks on topics ranging from producing
custom parts to converting 9-volt trains to DCC to packing MOCs for
cross-town or cross-country transport.  Talk, show slides, use PowerPoint,
even show real bricks---it's up to you.

More ambitious presenters have facilitated rountables on subjects such as
landscaping a LEGO layout or the ever popular Space vs. Train.  Keeping
Lego fans on track is a task on par with herding cats but roundtables
have been at the heart of many community innovations, from Moonbase to
Base8.

NWBrickCon always features special activities like the Dirty Brickster,
Wacky Races, and Master Build, but is open to more.  Want to run Evil
Stevie's Pirate Game?  A Sig Fig shoot?  If you run it, they will come.

Any registered attendee who would like to run a presentation or activity
is encouraged to e-mail proposals (or just questions) to the scheduling
coordinator (that would be me) at (my first three initials) at morfydd.net
(include NWBrickCon in the subject).  If possible, please include a title,
brief description for the event program, and any time constraints or
facility requirements.  Presentations typically run fifty minutes (but can
be scheduled for more or less).  There will be a private seminar area with
reconfigurable tables and chairs and a computer with presentation software
and a projector, but bringing your own computer is always helpful.  We may
be able to accomodate other equipment needs with sufficient advance
warning.

Deadline (imposed by printing needs and the need to actually schedule
stuff) is Saturday, September 8.  Earlier is better.

The Con runs October 5, 6, and 7, 2007, in Seattle at the Seattle Center
Pavillion.  More information and online registration is available at
http://www.nwbrickcon.org

(...) I am working on a couple of possible presentations for NWBrickCon. One of them, I could use some help on. It will be an Art Exhibit called: "Minifigs Behaving Badly" There are many examples of minifigs in official sets, catalogs, and idea (...) (17 years ago, 13-Jul-07, to lugnet.events.nwbrickcon, FTX)
