Hi,
I visited the brand new LEGO museum in Billund two weeks ago. It is almost
finished. The museum is quite what you can expect from a LEGO museum : old
sets and models, boxes, displays, early wooden toys, etc.
However, an unexpected section of the museum deals with fans/customers
involvement.
It presents through texts and photos displayed on the wall :
- FLL,
- AFOL events : LEGOWORLD,TSL and Klodfest - One can recognize Pedro Silva from
PLUG and Volker Draschka from 1000steine,
- LEGOFactory and UTB train set,
- NXT early stage developers from the Wired article,
- BrickJournal,
- A TV set plays the Ambassadors-made video about the LA Program with the
voice of former LA Kelly McKiernan,
- a touch-sensitive screen allows visitors to surf on major AFOLs websites
(Lugnet, BrickShelf, 1000steine,...)
Pictures can be seen here :

This museum has been visited during its setup by numerous fans from Europe and
US since last october. These private visits were pretty fast and almost all the
pictures I took have been shot while walking.
I have NO IDEA when and how the museum will be open to the public.
The museum is located in Billund, Denmark, about 15 minutes away from the LL
park by feet (3-5 minutes by car).

| (...) Neat! And Freek Beijert is standing right next to me! :-) I no longer belong to PLUG: my current project is the "0937 community"... hopefully you'll know more in the near future Thanks for the heads' up! Pedro (18 years ago, 8-May-07, to lugnet.fun.community)
