The LDraw Standards Committee (LSC) has ratified the Back Face Culling (BFC)
language extension.
The de-facto BFC standard was adopted by the LSC as their working draft (see
http://news.lugnet.com/announce/?n=3319) and we have since been working to
clarify and/or remove any ambiguities.
Most of the changes between the draft and the official specification are
clarifications and minor changes for consistency.
The most major change is to the syntax of the BFC options. We have re-worked
the syntax and the effect has been to remove around 10 possible variations of
the options (eg CW CLIP INVERTNEXT, CLIP CW INVERTNEXT, etc). With one exception
of the variations removed, only 9 files in the part library are affected. The
BFC CERTIFY INVERNEXT form is now no longer valid (and this affects numerous
files).
The LSC and PT Admins will correct any parts impacted by these changes - please
do not submit parts to the tracker solely to correct 0 BFC CERTIFY INVERTNEXT
meta-statements.
