Pics from American International TOY FAIR(r) 2006 —Larry Pieniazek
I was fortunate enough to be invited to the Lego showroom preview event at the LEGO showroom at 24th and Broadway, in NYC, as part of the 2006 American International TOY FAIR, ((URL) so naturally I went... just like last year. I uploaded a bunch of (...) (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.announce, lugnet.year.2006, lugnet.lego) !!

(...) Did they have no problem with you taking photos? A few of us went, separately, to the UK Toy Fair at TLCs invitation but they wouldn't let me take any photographs at all. Very happy you were able to get some good shots of the Roaring Roadsters (...) (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.year.2006)

(...) Everyone there was taking photos and no one stopped me, in fact most of the LEGO people remembered me from last year (I was the guy not afraid to pick up the models and turn them over to get better pics!). Most of the people invited were toy (...) (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.year.2006)

(...) Hi Larry, kudos to you for getting these pics out, but... (after recovering from headache caused by eyes losing sync with blurry pictures) ... Some are too blurry to bear. Did your tripod help? Must be your hands getting too tired. My (...) (19 years ago, 12-Feb-06, to lugnet.year.2006)

(...) Try one of these: (URL) have the yellow one from Jessops - I bought my Dad the bigger red one for his SLR. Basically it's a fat beanbag with a tripod spigot on the top. The blue one has an off-centre screw for some digital cameras. Jason R (19 years ago, 15-Feb-06, to lugnet.year.2006)

(...) Lar, thanks for posting so quickly, and the close-ups showing all the detail. You do a great job at keeping the unwashed masses informed. :) Interesting to note that there is no sign of the large Technic farm tractor with mower seen in the (...)      OK, some updates for you. I was able to get to Javits today (in one of the worst snowstorms to hit the east coast in a while, the buses weren't running, the ride I cadged got stuck, the trains were all having sticking door problems, etc etc... the (...)      (...) Larry- Thanks for all the photos and the report amid the record 27 inches of snow in Central Park. If the new Technic motor pack is the black geared motor from the RC race cars, that's rather unfortunate. I don't know how many times I've heard (...)
