Hi All!

My Lego drawing program BlockCAD has reached version 1.6

What's new in 1.6:
- Minor bug fixes (they are _always_ minor :-)
- New pieces: Rounded plates, small wings, panels,
  minifigs (sort of...)
- A group can be saved as a sub-assembly
- List of 'most-recently-used' files
- A little less bugs in the LDraw export
- Sub-assemblies can be selected visually, for example
  complete minifigs.
  (beta version of this feature)

What was new in 1.5:
- Blocks can be grouped, and the whole group can be selected,
  rotated, copied etc.
- Groups are persistent - remains after save/load.
- Can launch POVRay via L2P or L3P - direct rendering of the view
  You see in BlockCAD
- A little less bugs in the LDraw export
- Some new blocks

What was new in 1.4:
- Save models in LDraw format (I'm sure there are still bugs here,
  but its a start)
- Launch LDraw to render the same view as You see in BlockCAD
- A model can be used as sub-assembly and put into another model
- More blocks can be selected at the same time, you can cut, copy
  and paste them

What is BlockCAD?

BlockCAD is a freeware ('Legoblockware') drawing program for
Windows (95, 98, NT), where You can build with an 'unlimited'
supply of mostly standard blocks. There are also some wheels,
windows and other types.

BC is not a real CAD system (despite it's naming), if You need
that You should use LDraw instead, but it has an easy-to-use
drag and drop interface.

You can view Your model from any direction, and rotate it in
'real-time' (depending on the computer speed and complexity of
the model!)

You can of course use any color, save and load models, print them
out, and save a view as a bitmap file.

There is also a rudimentary (mostly undocumented) part editor, so
You can create new parts, and start using them, all in the same
program.

You can find it at:

and a gallery of models made with BlockCAD at:
