It is my pleasure to announce that on the weekend of October 4,5 and 6 in
Seattle, Washington will be the Pacific Northwest's first Lego Convention!

NWBrickCon will be co-hosted by PNLTC, SMART, and SEALUG.  The con is in the
Seattle Center's Center House at the foot of the Space Needle in Seattle, WA.

The con will be $10 for participants, and free for the public.  Participants
get to go to classes, play Brickwars (tm), and be eligble for Lego prizes
and other goodies.  Classes will include Ashley Glennon's microfig basic's
class, Wayne Hussey's History of the Brick, and Gus Jansson's Lego Geometry
class.  Let's not forget the displays, approximately all 1500 sq ft of them,
including a eight foot tall Statue of Liberty and quite possibly the largest
monorail layout ever.

Registration will need to be done before the con.  Information about
pre-registration and any other questions should be directed to me, Mark
Neumann at
snowleopard@foxinternet.net

Schedules and additional information will be coming here:
http://www.sealug.org/nwbrickcon.html

Information about the Seattle Center can be had here:

Hope to see you in October!

Mark Neumann

(...) Quite possibly? Mabie you should check with the Guiness World Records people and see if it really is the largest ever recorded (mabie you can get it into the Guiness book...) (22 years ago, 19-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.events, lugnet.org)

(...) [...] Cool! I'll be there with bells and other noisemaking devices attached. And I'll see if I can drag some other BayLUG/BayLTC folks along too. --Bill. (22 years ago, 19-Jul-02, to lugnet.build, lugnet.loc.ca, lugnet.events, lugnet.org)

(...) Is there any interest in the Pirate Game for this event? Flush off the success of the game at BrickFest, I'd love to organize a game for NWBrickCon (and I know there's at least a couple Pirate fans around). Frank (22 years ago, 25-Jul-02, to lugnet.events, lugnet.org, lugnet.pirates)
