OK...for all of you wondering what's going on with BimP, here is the
"skinny." All modifications and additions to the site (other than the News
page) will be suspended for about a week to further enhance the site. What
we are doing is moving the site away from the Graphics-Plus domain (a side
line business of mine) and moving it to dedicated server space.
When we come back online, you will be able to use bricksinmypocket.org as
the "true" domain name rather than simply a forwarded name. This will also
give us the ability to use a BimP e-mail address (i.e.
editor@bricksinmypocket.org).
I should also mention that all of these changes cost money. Right now they
are coming from my personal wallet and as a donation to the LEGO community.
However, I am presently looking at ways to recoup some of the costs such as
making this a pay channel on Mazingo. My original goal for this site was to
have some fun (which I am), give back to the LEGO community (which we are
doing), and raise money for charity (none yet). The last goal is also the
way we can continually upgrade and improve BimP as the goal was for 1/2 of
all donations to be used for upgrades and modifications to the site until it
reached a "sort of" maintenance state.
The old e-mail address BimP@graphics-plus.com is not valid. Until we have
created the new e-mail addresses, please direct any suggestions, comments,
or submissions to:
stevencombs@yahoo.com
So...look for BimP to return with all new features and cartoons within the
next few days to a week.
