Ton van Waas, creator of the weekly BimP Cartoon, "out-of-pocket" is
offering our readers the opportunity see their cartoon idea come to life.
Using ideas submitted by readers, Ton will create new out-of-pocket
cartoons. If you have ever read Pluggers in your daily or Sunday
newspaper, you understand the concept. Readers submit proposals for
cartoons and then the cartoonist creates the visuals for the cartoon and
then gives the reader credit. This is a great way for the entire LEGO
community to contribute to the fun!
All submissions should be indicative of the LEGO experience. Advanced LEGO
building receives priority due to the nature and focus of BimP. Please note
that not all submissions will be accepted. Ton only has time to prepare what
he considers to be the best of the bunch.
Dont worry though, Ton has not run out of his own original ideas. He will
still continue to create original works and has plans for a short continuing
series that sounds like great fun.
You can send your submissions to BimP_Toons@graphics-plus.com. Simply place
in your subject line BimP_Toon Submission and then briefly state your
concept. All cartoons are three frames and a frame-by-frame synopsis will
better assist Ton in making your cartoon a reality. You can also make a
submission by replying to this message. The later method would be a great
way for multiple readers to collaborate on a project.
The first submission selected will receive a limited edition LEGO Astronaut
MiniFig pin (you can see is picture of this pin in our news archives).
See you in the funnies!
