In the past days, I have improved the possible gaits of my walking minifig
algorithm. For practical reasons, it als has a name now: Johnny Walker
(unrelated to Johnnie Walker, the drink :-)
After I posted this first, I became aware that similar walking algorithms are
around. I haven’t been into animation in recent years and never noticed there
was a lugnet.animation newsgroup.
But I still think it may be worth your while to check this one out. The
(customizable) charming gaits and talking mouth can be useful in animated
stories.

| In POV-ray, I programmed a general animation for a walking minifig. (URL) It originated several years ago, but now I intend to clean up and publish the file so everyone can use it to make minifigs walk. I'm almost finished with polishing it up for (...)
