The Brickfilms Classical Movie Contest...

The time has almost come!  We are almost through judging, and will be making
final decisions tonight.

If you have access to or can use Yahoo! Messenger, we are planning on doing
a live webcast to show the awards ceremony.  The ceremony will be Thursday,
October 18th, at 9 PM EST.  Obviously since this is live we will not be
doing stop-motion animation, but nevertheless, there will be minifigs
involved. :)

So how do you do see the ceremony? I'll give you a quick rundown:

Step 1: Sign up for a Yahoo! ID.  The easiest way to do this is to sign up
for an email address.  Fill out whatever you wish, or make up whatever you
wish for the registration.

Step 2: Download Yahoo! Messenger.  It should give you step by step
instructions.  If you have an older version, upgrade to the latest version.
Once it is installed, start it up and fill in your name and password with
your Yahoo! Id.  Typical IM stuff.

Step3: Add "Brickfilms" as a friend.  This way you can see when we are online.

Step4: On Thursday at 9 PM EST, startup Messenger and look for Brickfilms.
You SHOULD see a message beside the name that says "View my webcam".  Either
click on this and go to View Webcam, or go to Friends > View webcam from the
menu.  I'm not sure of the navigation exactly here, but it should be fairly
intuitive.

Step5: Watch the show and see who wins!  We will be presenting prizes to the
winners and contacting them after the show.  Hopefully, they will be
watching. Every catagory will have 3 nominees and one winner.  The next
update after the show, the Contest Page will be updated with the nominees
and winners, as well as a detailed writeup on the submissions.

See you at the ceremony!
