I know it is a little early to be thinking about a new sub-theme but when I
saw this post:
Especially when the fiction is one of a lost island rather than time travel.
If something can survive hidden an extra 65 million years then why not an
extra 165 million years? This setup gives TLC the freedom to pick and choose
prehistoric beasts from any era they like (and think will be the most
marketable.)
It reminded me of an old movie where a submarine gets lost and they wander
under the antarctic ice cap, when they come up they are in a type of tropical
oasis in the middle of the ice "desert" and dinosaurs and primitive islanders
rome the hidden island. Perhaps next year they will make a whole lot of extra
dinosaurs and the theme would be "escape from dino island" this way Johnny
would have to go through Antarctica. There could be dog sleds, igloos, a small
WWI submarine, and perhaps some of those old divers suits(I forgot who it was
that originally suggested the divers suits but they were a good idea) They
could also make a Ford Trimotor airplane with ski landing gear like the ones
they have in Alaska.
