What is Ryan NYP? That is the New York to Paris plane that Charles Lindbergh used for the first non-stop crossing of the Atlantic in May 1927:

Charles Lindbergh takes off from Roosevelt Field, Long Island, New York. The plane, heavily loaded with 451 gallons of fuel, clears the telephone wires at the end of the runway by only 20 feet.
