I think the coffin actually works pretty well in this application, although even for a racer the hood feels a little long.

Thank you. I am glad that you remember my MOC’s.

I admit that the hood is long, but that is part of the slender torpedo-like look I intended.

And back in the 20’ies each race would have different regulations, for example restricting bore but not stroke and stroke volume leading to very tall hoods! This could be for a race with limitations on bore and stroke, but not stroke volume leading to en engine with many cylinders.
