Hey y'all,

I was looking at all the new Orient sets at legoshop.com and I must say I'm
impressed.  The first three mini-series didn't interest me (especially Dino
Island -yuk) but this series really jumps out.  I'm planning on buying all of
them once I scrape up enough money.  All right, on to the questions:

Hi Nathan,
Since I have most of those sets, I will try and give you an answer to your
questions.

1)  How many brown 1x4 tiles in set #7411?

I counted 9 plus 2-1x8 brown tiles!

2)  How many component parts do the elephants break into?

6 pieces make up the torso not counting two slopes on top so a total of 8
there.  The front 2 legs are one piece as well as the rear legs.  The head
is made up of one large part with 2 ears, 2 tusks, and 2 trunk parts.  The
tail is made up of one trunk-like piece with a technic pin to hold it on.
So the total is 19!
The two slopes on top can be replaced with a brown crate part for a riding
basket.  The body parts are the same as the ones used in the dinosaurs such
as in sets 6719-22 and set 1371.

3)  There appears to be some dark blue pieces in set #7411 and #7418, what kind
are they and how many are there in each set?

In 7411: 6-1x8 plates, 5-1x2 plate with one stud on top
In 7418: 9-1x4 tiles, 4-1x1 headlight bricks, 8-1x1x1 round bricks, 9-1x6
plates, 2-2x6 plates, 2-2x2 plates, and 8 1x1 round plates.

4)  Are the gigantic dark grey castle wheels in set #7414 unique?

No, that's been answered already.

5)  Are those plain (non-printed) yellow minifig heads in set #7415?

Yes, you get 3 of them.

6)  #7415 appears to have four brown 4x4 Plates with round corners (Piece
#30565) , is this true?

Yes, it's a 4x4 round corner plate in brown!

7)  Are the doors in set #7417 the same doors in the old ninja sets?

That's the one set I don't have, so I can't say.  The doors in set 7418 are
regular castle/pirate doors.

8)  What is that thing near Johnny in set #7418 that looks like a wall hanging?

It's a 4x6 yellow flag part with printing on it!

9)  Could anyone get me good pictures of the scorpion in set #7418?

I assume you're talking about the large scorpion model used to send the ball
down on the palace raiders.  I haven't put mine together, but I will try and
put a pic up from the instructions.

10) What's this game thing about?

It's a board game incorporating the lego sets and figures.  You arrange the
board cards around the sets, use the dice to move your figures and you pick
up pieces and take on tasks as you try to get the golden shield and make it
to the final square.  There are game cards that you use.  You gain points
along the way, etc.!  I haven't tried playing it.  I've only read the
instructions.  It looks somewhat interesting and can be played in a number
of different configurations.

Thanks for your time!

PS: this is my first post to this newsgroup.

Welcome Nathan.. I'm pretty much of a new poster to this group too!  My
first interest is with pirates, but I've grown to like the adventurers
almost as much.

(...) -SNIP- (...) Here a pic from the instructions. The hooks on top of the scorpion hold some flex tubing that is used to direct a large ball down upon someone trying to steal the treasure. Here is the address: (URL) (...) -SNIP- (...) (22 years ago, 23-Dec-02, to lugnet.adventurers)
