| | New Adventurers Subtheme - Rum Runners
|
|
Inpired by this post: (URL) I like the gangsters idea, and I think it'd be a fun Adventurer's sub-theme, which I've nicknamed Rum Runners. The theme takes place during the Prohibition era of the United States, pitting the Rum Runners against The (...) (19 years ago, 6-May-06, to lugnet.adventurers, lugnet.town, FTX) !

(...) Robert, that is really nice. What I like most is that it's "rough" from using a few pieces, but was instantly recognizable. Great job. I'm glad you posted the rest of your gallery as well, there's a ton of great stuff in there that I haven't (...) (19 years ago, 5-May-06, to lugnet.build.military, lugnet.adventurers)

Well, I usually focus on building actual existing WW2 airplanes. But I was inspired by the Protototype Hunters (hence the posting to the adventurers group) and the wonderfull website luft46.com to do something else. So here it is: A Minifig scale (...) (...) Not yet, but I've been thinking about it. I was actually thinking more along the lines of a gangster sub-theme of the Adventurer's series. Kind of a Johnny Thunder meets Al Capone sort of thing. The closest thing I've done is probably my (...) (19 years ago, 4-May-06, to lugnet.trains, lugnet.town, lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

I really like this, what strikes me most is the creative solution to an odd number of dots nose... I also like the sculpting of the whole thing and the engine is particularly well done. Good work. (...) Nice little Cthulhu you have there, I hadn't seen that one, I like the use of Dragon arms. One day I'll get around to a full minifig scale (about a metre high I guess) Cthulhu, but not this year! Cheers, Mark. (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

(...) You're right of course Keith the Mythos is far more about knowledge then firepower so I'll tone down the number of non-improvised weapons. (...) Mark - this is way too cool. I also had missed your Cthulhu rising MOC, these are all really fabulous. Keep up the good work! (I also made a minifig-scale Chtulhu some time back if you haven't seen it before: <link (URL)) (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)

Oh my. It seems the stars are once again aligned. What those unfortunate adventurers need right now is a rousing verse or two of the good ol' Miskatonic U fight song. Great job man. F (19 years ago, 25-Apr-06, to lugnet.adventurers, FTX)
