Drop-down lists are annoying enough without having to do ten of them.
How about using radio buttons instead?

Would that help you visualize the positions better as well as save you time?

I went with drop-down lists to keep it the form small (physically on the
screen), since the original goal of the polling interface is to allow these to
be embedded in group sidebars (for example), but I suppose it could certainly
give you radio buttons up to a certain point.  Lemme think about it and try a
thing or two and see how compact it can get.

OK.  Or you could go overboard with Java and/or JavaScript and do it
the way Lego does in the "Your Turn" polls...
