Good question. In all cases, I'd make sure the old URLs still worked in
case there were links or references to old articles. Groups that had a
significant amount of stuff to be moved would probably be reinserted as if
they were new at the new spot, then have their timestamps massaged back to
being correct...similar to the big renaming that happened in October of '98.
A group like lugnet.trains.org could move probably somewhat painlessly, but
groups like lugnet.market.auction and lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade would be
changing in fuction and probably would just be archived.
