I just subscribed to a group as a mailing list for the first time.  In order to
do so, Lugnet had to mail me a confirmation code, which is fine.  But the email
was trapped by my SpamAssassin as spam.  I only noticed it because I was
expecting the incoming email, and checked my procmail log when I didn't see it
in my inbox.  Here's what SpamAssassin had to say:

Content analysis details:   (6.6 points, 5.0 required)

pts rule name              description
---- ---------------------- --------------------------------------------------
5.4 BAYES_99               BODY: Bayesian spam probability is 99 to 100%
                            [score: 0.9985]
1.1 RCVD_IN_SORBS_HTTP     RBL: SORBS: sender is open HTTP proxy server
                            [216.218.236.136 listed in dnsbl.sorbs.net]
0.1 RCVD_IN_SORBS          RBL: SORBS: sender is listed in SORBS
                            [216.218.236.136 listed in dnsbl.sorbs.net]

I'm not sure what to do about the Bayesian probability, but the other two are
cause for alarm - is LUGNET using an open relay?

As far as the Bayesian (...) (20 years ago, 5-Mar-04, to lugnet.admin.nntp, lugnet.off-topic.geek)
