I think this would be groovy, and I've got my own 0.02USD to toss in...
1. Choose a new newsgroup name carefully. My newsreader (Forte Agent) sorts
my list of subscribed groups alphabetically. So "lugnet.spotlight" would
get buried in the middle of the list. With most groups, this wouldn't
matter, but a 'spotlight' group should be very visible.
'lugnet.announce.spotlight' isn't really appropriate, and
'lugnet.admin.spotlight' might get overlooked (or maybe not - there's no
auto-filtering in NNTP :).
2. If possible, it would be nice to include *all* the stories that qualified
for the spotlight during the preceeding day. This probably isn't a big
deal, nearly all stories are in the spotlight for multiple days.
