I don't know. That would require me to actually read messages thouroughly,
instead of shooting off stupid questions.

Nah, just do it one way or the other.
To be really wicked, you could spread the credit over all the involved
newsgroups. The count for each cross-posted message would be
1 / (number of cross-posted ng's)
