Personally, I don't know what the demand is because I don't really read the
lugnet.cad groups. I scan them because most of the topics relate to the PC,
like LDRAW. Maybe a Mac newsgroup will draw mnore people out. It doesn't have
to be dedicated only to making a clone. It can be for other programs like the
ones I listed above.

I predict it may not cause a loss but rather a gain because not a lot of
discussion goes toward Macs.

Did you have in mind a "user oriented" group for Mac CAD users or "developer oriented" group for Mac CAD developers? (...) Hmm. I (...) (26 years ago, 19-Feb-99, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.admin.general)
