Set 3053, Emperor's Stronghold, has 328 pieces.
Set 4805, Ninja Knights, has 26 pieces.
Set 4138, Freestyle Value Set with Carry Case, has 400 pieces (not
counting the carry case bag).

Where do the piece counts come from?

- Directly from the box (official count)?
- From a catalog (semi-official count)?
- Hand-counted (unofficial count)?

All three came from the boxes.

Okie dokie -- thanks!
