  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) I guess that's an issue if the frame names are common things like "main" and "display" and "gunkie_foo". :-) What happens when the frame name contains, say, the site's name as a prefix? (...) It would be trivial, yah, but when it was like that (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Except that, due to my insane hatred for frames (;-), I'll actually break out of 'em and use d&d browsing instead, since Netscape will remember frame names across several browser windows. It's really no biggie; I can browse the new format just (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Ahh, I see. Well, sounds like what you really need then is a dual-frame or tri-frame option. Then you wouldn't even have to drag the link -- just click it. --Todd (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Nothing big, really. An example is to have one window open for a TOC, and another window open for the chapters; to change chapters you drag the hyperlink from the TOC window to the chapter window. The benefit is keeping the browsers' window (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) I think there are several Europe-only sets in the DB and they aren't marked with a language code. Most names there tend to be English. --Todd (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Well, I gave the new database a quick whirl, (I clicked on the guide icon and then Technic) and the first thing it showed me was a... "Gabelstapler". A little lower was "PKW" for the original auto-chassis. Is this a new LEGO code I'm not (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Well, actually, that link above lists any sets within a category containing the component word "space" -- which in this case includes accessories and Dacta categories. If you want *just* LEGO SYSTEM Space sets, click the link that says _Space_ (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

(...) phased out, ya. (...) Yes, coming soon! :-) (...) Yup! Those are some of the things that oughtta go on the guide.lugnet.com homepage at some point, with links to more details. --Todd (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) "Private" there means you're the only one who sees it when you visit the set's page (not even other Members can see it). "Public" there means anyone can see it -- whether they're a signed-in Member or a casual user. (...) Coming soon! --Todd (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database)

  Re: Announcing new set database

(...) Well, PayPal says they'll be doing international payments soon (they've been saying that for a while, but I *think* I just heard it was supposed to be happening in the next month). But certainly if you felt safe sending cash (and it's not (...) (24 years ago, 15-Sep-00, to lugnet.admin.database, lugnet.admin.general, lugnet.people)

(...) What is it? (...) Wow! -- that's an interesting mystery. Not only does the new theme index listing there show _only_ 5315, but the old one shows 13 matches _except_ 5315: (URL) think I know what might be happening, but I'll have to look under (...) In lugnet.admin.database, John VanZwieten writes: <snip> (...) I agree with John on this one. Both a ranking for the Set and for the Part Selection would be nice.
