| | Expansion of Spotlight functionality

Hello, The Spotlight feature usually found on LUGNET's main homepage has moved to the News homepage. (URL) (spotlight) -> (URL) all curators (and would-be curators): ---...--- The Spotlight function is available at each level in the news hierarchy, (...) (...) Check it out folks: (URL) - is that an acceptable title? I was trying for some consistency. FUT: lugnet.admin.curators Frank (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators, lugnet.pirates)

(...) A generic term like "Pirates" isn't too confusing with "LUGNET" in front of it, but something like "Aquazone" or "Harry Potter" is going to look pretty strange like that. Some random thoughts... I'd try it without the word "LUGNET" there, and (...) (22 years ago, 6-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

(...) This is very cool indeed. However I must protest, I put "[NewsSpotlight lugnet.foo.bar]" into the lugnet.trains group sidebar and I'm not getting any highlights from the lugnet.foo.bar group! No one must be posting there, I guess. :-) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

(...) I went with "What is hot in lugnet.trains" for now... (URL) (it's below the trains poster which I think stays on top. Not sure how far down to move it though, our sidebar has a lot of stuff in it... for right now it's second on the list) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

(...) My first pass was just "Spotlight". I can see a difference between the news home page and the lower level pages. Once you get to them, it's a little more clear what's going on. (...) Hmm, I like "What's hot in lugnet..." also. I think I'll (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)

(...) only minor nit I have is that now all the 'news' links like the posting setup and the shortcut to people.newbie are scrolled off the bottom of the screen (at least, at 1024x768 they are). I'm not sure where they should go to, but I think it (...) (22 years ago, 7-Aug-02, to lugnet.admin.curators)
