News article snarfing & propagation (was: LEGO Calendar of Events)

(...) A bit more on article snarfing & propagation... If anyone happened to catch this article back in May, (URL) 3rd sub-item of the 4th main item there (the one which begins "Ability to snarf...") refers basically to personal weblogs[1] with (...) True, it would increase the noise-to-signal ratio for many, but it would Keep It Simple. Also, I favor follow-ups (...)   Re: RTL posting stats (was Re: Lugnet Newsgroups Anniversary!)

(...) [snipped way-cool graph] Very interesting. I hadn't thought of "draining" in terms of number of messages, I was thinking in terms of signal-to-noise. Which is a bit harder to graph. But the anecdotal evidence seems to suggest LUGNET is having (...) (25 years ago, 5-Oct-99, to lugnet.general, lugnet.admin.general)

In lugnet.adventurers, Mark Lindsey writes: <snip well thought out commentary> Mark, I don't think most people have a big problem with the topics you've been discussing. To all here.... The recent Lego Direct announcement, along with all the new set pic's and excitement, have clouded normally clear heads. May I suggest we all calm down, stop acting like excited children, and take a deep breath..... after all, we (...) (25 years ago, 11-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Help: Re: review: LEGO '99

(...) Actually it wouldn't matter too much if false matches were made, as the context would be enough for people to recognize that this is a real set number. The idea is to just provide a quick link to the database so that people can see a set if (...) (25 years ago, 14-Dec-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
