  Re: cad.dat posts

(...) I changed the label on the box from "Additional Notes" to "Description of Contents." This doesn't change the behavior, but it ought to change the perceived functionality. Not sure why you had to re-browse for the .dat file, but it sounds like (...) (25 years ago, 22-Apr-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: Idea: How starting to work for a unique Lego piece naming convention?

(...) I'd agree. In principle, where bricks do have obvious uses you'd need to keep that use in the name for simplicity. After all, I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to find some exotic uses for wheels, but is anyone seriously going to suggest that (...) You know, Mike, this just may be true -- there is just no way that anyone else could have known this; and given that, I had to assume you meant something at least along the lines of the commonly understood colloquial meaning.   Re: New LUGMap for LUGNET

(...) Hi Dan, IMO, "real" maps like maps.google.com, local.live.com or www.frappr.com always look somehow unsightly. They're good for setting places on a very detailed base, like showing residences of club members etc.pp. But for a rundown on LUGs (...) (18 years ago, 14-Nov-06, to lugnet.admin.general, FTX)

I believe there is a problem that has already been addressed by several people, and that is that the ratings are too vague.
