  #6951 Robot Command Center PROTOTYPE?

Hey, I read recently in an ebay auction for a 6951 that this set, the Robot Command Center (from 1986), was a based on a concept designed for a contest...some sort of "design a space set" contest. If this is untrue, then please ignore. I was looking (...) (25 years ago, 3-Dec-99, to lugnet.space)

  Will trade 6807 for 1593

Possibly the rarest-ever space set for the other rarest-ever space set! :-) I just won my second 6807 un-named Space set (1985) on ebay. I only need the elsusive 1593 directions (or was it a boxed set?) from 1983 to complete my Space collection. If (...) (25 years ago, 7-Dec-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

  Re: Wanted: Monorail and parts

(...) I just won a #6347 Town track extension set for about $70 last week, and a #6991 monorail system for $150 about three weeks ago, both from ebay. Last month there were five monorails up for auction all at once, so the value dropped and the (...) (25 years ago, 16-Aug-99, to lugnet.market.buy-sell-trade)

(...) Yow. Where did I see the black head? Was it Darth? Was I just hallucinating the whole thing? Come to think of it, a black mini-fig head would be perfect for Darth, given the vocal talent that personified him... Dave xxx...xxx (25 years ago, 17-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) It's odd timing that you guys are discussing this now. There is an idea in its infant stages right now that I'm trying to develop with my father and wife, both of whom are programmers. The idea is a complete database of every single Lego part, (...) (25 years ago, 22-Aug-99, to lugnet.db.inv)

  Panaka is yellow?

I'm sure the topic of race amongst mini-figures is an ancient one, but I just wanted to hear theories from the more informed AFOL's this time. I'm pretty sure TLG just wanted to circumvent any racial issues by making ALL the heads "yellow." There've (...) (25 years ago, 22-Dec-99, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Well spoken, Scott. This whole skin-tone thing must've started back in the 60's..what'd they have for part color back then? Red, Yellow, Blue, Black and White?
