I've put together a NQC API file that allows you to use some of the RCX2 features. I don't no whether anyone else has already done this but here is mine. This is unofficial so is unsupported. Dejanews doesn't work w/Outlook Express. Despite some peoples poor expreiences w/this software, I have had nothing but good come out of it. I had a news server that carried RTL but it went belly up after just after x-mass, don't know why but can't (...) (26 years ago, 11-Jan-99, to lugnet.admin.general)

I have been using Outlook and Outlook Express quite a long time now (current version is 4.72.3110.5) and I haven't find such problems you have described. The only thing it won't regocnize is when it will start with <URL:> such as <URL:(URL). (...) (25 years ago, 16-Jul-99, to lugnet.publish, lugnet.robotics)

It is currently (but won't always be) using a suffix system that goes like this: xxxx-y where xxxx is the set number (not necessarily four numeric digits) and where y is a [re]issue number for the number of set (always numeric, (...) The same problem exists with 1.1 and 1.5. Look in lugnet.cad.dat for the Touch Sensor and "71427 - The Real Thing". I'm not sure about the carriage return on these posts. I just checked these out on my computer, and the Touch Sensor works just fine, (...) (26 years ago, 24-Jan-99, to lugnet.cad)

I've noticed in the last couple of weeks (at least) that many articles have been expiring (or just getting lost) from my newsreader in Outlook Express 5. Is this a known problem? Is there something I can do to stop it? -John Van (25 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.admin.general)
