Re: Crimson Skies MOC: The Guardian

(...) Under a zepplin you say? Hmmmm. Thanks Jamie...the colour scheme is indeed over the top, as is my love of Trudeau, curling and snowshoes! Just felt like being zany with this one. One day I was thinking of doing a Guardian MkII...a more (...) (20 years ago, 26-Nov-03, to lugnet.space, FTX)

Re: Crimson Skies - Laramie B122

(...) Very cool. I especially like the modularity and the design of the large bombs. And as the GA notes, the "W" from M-Tron is inspired. Was that coincidence, or did you decide on a Wyoming theme based on that element (and the fact that Wyoming (...) (20 years ago, 30-Nov-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) This is a really nice build, Nick. Using the drk grey plates to frame the light grey ones gives the wings a great depth. And I have to say that those vintage-looking heavy bombs are...well...the bomb. Just wondering...why is that plate (...) (20 years ago, 1-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Thanks for the compliments Mark. And thanks for the CS Universe link - it was a great source of inspiration & back story. And it shows that even propellers can be cool! -nk (20 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Thanks Derek! The back story on the W - I was using red for the trim color, to match the red in the M-Tron hinge panels over the rear landing gear. I wanted a logo on the wing, because many other CS MOC's had some sort of flag insignia built (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)

(...) Thanks Gil! I was pretty happy with the look of the bombs. Unfortunately, I liked them too much to shorten them - which led to the use of the slope-plate, making room for the bombs to be held. The whole bomb bay assembly is built upside down, (...) (20 years ago, 2-Dec-03, to lugnet.build.military, FTX)
