Re: who's feelin the black pack?

(...) I've mostly stayed out of this discussion, but I've got some questions to ask. I'm not generally opposed to the idea of dark "skinned" minifigs (DSM), but I'm going to play devils advocate here for a minute. Lets say that TLG does in fact go (...)   Architectural Wonders theme

Looking in the toy section today, I wandered from the Lego aisle (not isle, as some would have us spell...) and into the Puzz-3D section. I have tried one of these and although it was fun I'm not wild about the structural stability. But what a (...) (25 years ago, 9-May-99, to lugnet.dear-lego)

Re: New Product Announcement - 10152

<snip> (...) Benjamin, I believe that the answer is (at least) twofold: 1. LEGO's way of setting prices for different markets is very complex (I believe that Jake has stated this before), and the price only partially depends on what the given market (...) (...) Well, I still don't see why they shouldn't equalize the playing field...If they can afford to be selling the sets at $X in North America, then why don't they try and INCREASE sales by selling sets at this price EVERYWHERE. After all, Megabloks (...) (20 years ago, 28-May-04, to lugnet.lego, lugnet.loc.au, lugnet.general)

2001 - The year we don't pay retail

Hey Guys, I have a challenge for you for 2001. Do not pay retail for any sets in 2001. This of course does not apply to promo, HTO, or S@H exclusives (you are lucky to get a deal on these items) But what I am aiming for is a year that I do not walk (...) I figured this was the best spot to put this... I was looking at some great lego castles today, and a horrible realization hit....   Re: UKLTC has arrived

(...) I have to say I would like idea of a less general UK lugnet area where we can talk more about UK LEGO. The Lugnet outside the local groups is dominated by America and its culture. This is largely OK, but at times it can be too much for me. (...) (23 years ago, 12-Jun-01, to lugnet.loc.uk)

(...) I'd rather see GOOD 6-wide designs than BAD 8-wide designs. The recent LEGO trains (4559 & 4561) are just not very realistic trains. I think kids (and AFOLs) would rather have realistic looking trains. One of the issues is the North America (...) (24 years ago, 10-Dec-00, to lugnet.trains)
